Twilight star Robert Pattinson has reportedly been cast in the upcoming Dune sequel.
There are speculations that the 38-year-old actor is in talks to play a pivotal role in final chapter of Denis Villeneuve’s directorial.
However, there is no official confirmation form the makers if Robert has been offered a role or not.
Seemingly, the creators are eyeing the Mickey 17 actor to play villain ‘Scytale’, a complexed and captivating character from Herbert’s book.
The latest reports have created a stir online among the Batman fans, who were already not happy when the makers announced a delay in the release a few months ago.
With Pattinson’s new rumoured casting, the DC fans have expressed their concerns if The Batman Part II will be coming out on the set release date or it might get delayed further.
Taking it to X, some social media users dropped their reactions on the new update.
One of them wrote, “Just f****** announce The Batman Part 2 is canceled at this point, just rip the damn bandaid off.”
“The Batman 2 definitely canceled at this point”, penned another user.
The Matt Reeves directorial was initially set to release in 2026, but Warner Bros. announced the renewed date of the second entry, which is October 1, 2027.
The fans were already dealing with this postponement, and now they fear that the new film might get further delayed due to Robert’s packed schedule.
Besides Dune, the Remember Me actor also has Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in the pipeline.
