
The Punjab Education Department has announced a two-day closure of all educational institutions across the province because of the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions. A formal notification has been issued in this regard.
According to a statement from Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, the decision has been made due to the deteriorating law and order situation.
He stated that all public and private educational institutions—including schools, colleges, and universities—will remain closed on Friday and Saturday, i.e., May 9 and 10.
The minister further announced that all institutions across Punjab will remain closed until Sunday, and academic activities will resume from Monday, May 12.
The Punjab Education Department has issued a notification confirming the closure of both private and public educational institutions province-wide until Sunday.
