ISLAMABAD:

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has announced a reduction in Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices, effective May 1, 2025, offering relief to consumers ahead of the summer season.

According to an official notification, the price determination of LPG is in line with the federal government’s policy guidelines.

The revised prices reflect a decrease in both producer and consumer rates for the coming month.

Ogra has set the LPG producer price for May 2025 at Rs203,861.82 per ton, which translates to Rs2,405.57 per 11.8 kg cylinder.

This signifies a reduction of Rs3,203.32 per ton, or Rs37.80 per cylinder, against the price for April 2025.

For consumers, Ogra has set the LPG price at Rs245,161.82 per ton, or Rs2,892.91 per 11.8 kg cylinder. This translates to a reduction of Rs3,203.32 per ton, or Rs37.80 per cylinder, from the previous month. According to Ogra , LPG producer prices are linked to the Saudi Aramco-CP, and the exchange rate of the US dollar.
