National Security Committee holds key meeting today amid Indian attack tensions

A key meeting of the National Security Committee is being held at the Prime Minister’s Office as tensions with India continue to rise.

The NSC will be chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The meeting is about India’s recent attacks, Pakistan’s response, and future strategies.

Senior military officials, federal ministers, the National Security Advisor, and other key figures are attending.

Sources say military officials reported that Pakistan shot down five Indian fighter jets and destroyed a brigade headquarters.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the whole nation supports its brave armed forces and that Pakistan’s sovereignty and dignity will not be compromised.

He said any enemy aggression will be met with a response at all levels.

The meeting also discussed India’s attacks, rising tensions in the region, and diplomatic efforts with the international community.

The committee praised the Pakistan Army for its timely and effective response.

They said the military sent a clear message that Pakistan has the right and full capability to defend itself.

The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Ishaq Dar, the National Security Advisor, federal ministers Khawaja Asif, Mohsin Naqvi,
Attaullah Tarar, and Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar.

The chiefs of the three armed forces, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Director General of ISI were also present.
